Buses place constant demand on brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, and engine systems. Changes in stopping, handling, temperature, or performance should be addressed before they interfere with regular operation. Repairing these problems early can help keep service disruptions to a minimum.

  • Longer Stops: We inspect and replace worn brake system components
  • Steering Issues: We repair worn steering linkage and related parts
  • Rough Ride: We replace worn shocks, bushings, springs, or airbags
  • Overheating: We diagnose and repair cooling system faults
  • Power Loss: We test engine, fuel, and airflow systems
  • Warning Lights: We scan codes and repair the affected system

What Is The Life Expectancy Of A Bus In South Carolina?

Considering the typical mileage accumulation of school buses in South Carolina, the state recommends replacing them every 15 years or after 250,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Like other alternative fuel engines, gasoline engines are not initially designed for the medium-duty market. In the long run, modern diesel engines can serve in a fleet for 15-20 years, whereas a gasoline engine might require one or even two replacements during a school bus's lifespan.

The level of service that Chris and his team provided was outstanding. From a very early morning phone call to providing a solution to our tire problem and having us back on the road within 4 1/2hrs was amazing. Our tire was for a motorhome that is not easy to find. After spending a sleepless night calling AAA and other mobile repair teams who could not or would not help us, Chris pulled through. If you are ever in the Florence, SC area and need prompt and emergency service, don't hesitate to call Chris and his team first.

All superheroes don’t wear capes. These guys are life savers. I had problems with the tandems on a trailer and could not resolve the issue after trying for nearly two hours. Luckily, Chris drove by. I assumed the day was a waste but the positive attitude from Chris immediately left me with no worries. In little to no time the tandems began sliding and the truck was on the road again. I want to just say thank you Chris and Fleet Care Servics out of South Carolina for the assist. First call I am making when there is an issue.
